What A Man Says
Have you ever imagined what that day will be like? That day when you cross over to eternal life? I believe that everyone, regardless of what they believe in has thought about that day. For many people that day represents a great fear because they do not believe they know what is going to happen, if anything. However, I believe that the Bible is true, I believe that the Bible represents God’s Word and in it He reveals what we need to know in order to be prepared for that time. I believe that through God’s Word we can find Him. We find Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
Jesus, the Son of God and God Himself, came to earth to live among us and then to be offered up at the one and only atonement for the sins of all the world. It is through this atonement and sacrifice that our sins are removed from us and we may then re enter into a relationship with God. Because of this reality when we come to that day and we stand before the Lord for judgement, we will be found righteous and justified. But we need to be aware of the major question that comes along with this awesome truth…. We can choose to accept the sacrifice of Jesus and have our sins atoned for, or we can choose to reject the sacrifice of Jesus and pay the atone for them ourselves. What you need to understand if we do not accept the sacrifice of Jesus and stand for ourselves on that then the cost or the penalty for our sins is death, not the physical death of our bodies, but eternal death in which we will no longer be in the presence of the Lord God our Father.
God has given us each a life to live here on earth and within that life we are given the freedom to choose. Just like Adam and Eve, each one of us has a decision to make, to heed the Word of the Lord, or to ignore it. I want to tell you today that if you are reading this and you have not yet accepted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ in your life then do not let one more day pass by. Do not wait until that day comes and realize that it is too late. The Bible tells us that Jesus is here and He is near to us, we must simply call upon, and accept Him as our Savior and Lord. One day though, that opportunity will have passed by and we will have made our choice. I pray that each one of us will accept Him before the end comes.
