What A Man Says
I believe that one thing that is pretty much universal to all people are concerns. Think about it for a moment…. Everyone, regardless of where they live, what job they work, or what relationships they are in, have cares and concerns that they carry each and every day. For some, it may be having enough food to feed their family, for others it may be caring for a loved one that is sick and for others it may be trying to handle a relationship that has been negative. The real question though is not if we will have cares and concerns but what do we do in order to try and solve them?
In the same way that there are no shortages of problems in this world, there is no doubt that this world also offers up a variety of ways to address them. In fact, the majority of people who face problems and concerns automatically turn to whatever the world has to offer to address them. Is this the best way? Is there something that we can do that is even better? I believe that the truth is there is nothing this world can offer us to truly resolve the issue of life. There may be temporary solutions that can help to cover up the issue for a time or help relieve the symptoms, but the truly and completely satisfy the need it will always fall short.
Oftentimes, we also can begin to feel hopeless and even desperate as a result of the issues that we face each day. This desperation can drive us to make decisions that we would not normally make and do things that we would not normally do in order to try and find a way to cope. If you are reading this today and you can identify with the problems of this life and you can also identify with the hopelessness that they can bring to us, then I want you to know that it is no coincidence that you are reading this today. Consider what the verse for today tells us, “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me…” Whatever concerns you have from this world today, whatever it is that is affecting you, the Lord wants you to know today that if you give it to Him and seek Him in the situation, He will perfect it. That means He will make it right and will bring the provision or healing that is needed. No longer seek the solutions of this world but instead seek the Lord.
