What A Man Says
People are often very impatient. When we are in an trying situation, we do not like to wait for the solution. We want to know what we should do sooner than later, and, if the answer does not immediately come, we will begin to try to think of ways to speed the process up. Think about that for a moment. As soon as the pressure starts to mount and we begin to become fearful, we take matters into our own hands. We start to make phone calls and make decisions that we believe will correct the issue. Often times, these self corrections are shortcuts that in the long run end up creating even bigger issues.
When we look at the Lord and the way that He works, we will see an entirely different approach. God does not take shortcuts. When the Lord addresses a situation, you can be sure of one thing . . . it will be perfectly complete. Every single step will be done and there will never be any rework required. The real question that we, as Christians, must struggle with is this: do we trust Him enough to be patient and wait upon Him? It is very easy to say that we trust the Lord, but what do we do when the heat starts to rise as we experience the stress and difficulty of this life?
I want to encourage you today, when you find yourself in a situation in which you are experiencing the trials of life, to turn to Him. He can take those trying situations and turn them around into a work of beauty. If you march forward in your own strength and abilities, it may seem like things are better for a period of time, but the sin of this world can never be defeated by our own hands. There is only One who has overcome sin, death, and the grave. His name is Jesus Christ and He desires to see that victory come into your life. Turn to Him and allow Him to have full control. Submit to Him and ask Him to change you and to help you in your circumstances. He will not only come to you in that moment, He will see you through the situation until it is completed according to His perfect plan.
