On June 18th a team of three went to Uganda for a one week mission trip. While in Uganda we spent two days in the city of Kampala and four days in the town of Nebbi. During the two days in Kampala we settling in and began to understand the culture and people of Uganda. We toured a variety of places in around the Kampala and also spent time ministering to and praying for the orphans and staff of a home ran by Power Children Foundation Uganda.
After our time in Kampala we traveled seven hours by bus to the town of Nebbi. During our four days in Nebbi we continued working with Power Children Foundation Uganda and visited five separate villages preaching and teaching the Word of God. We also visited and ministered to over two hundred children in multiple schools and orphanages as well. During these visits we provided teaching for women, relationship, and children.
One of the highlights occurred during the Sunday services. After we had completed delivering the Sunday message we spoke a message of salvation to a crowd of over two hundred and fifty people in a remote village. In response to this message we walked to a local river and baptized twenty one people including some children over the age of twelve. Seeing the people respond and be baptized was a wonderful confirmation because prior to even leaving for the trip the Lord had already shown the mission trip team that this would happen. We delivered three large duffle bags of childrens clothes and flip flops which had been donated by multiple families to the schools and orphanages that we visited. We also were blessed to have received six copies of the children's book "Being a G.I. ant for Christ" from author Barb Hicks which we also left with the leaders of the schools and orphanages.
The Fruitful Women team is blessed to be able to continue to spread the message of Christ across the world to the women, children and families who need to know that God is alive and that He loves them.
